The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has extended the initial registration deadline for Temporary Protected Status (TPS) for eligible nationals of Liberia, Guinea, and Sierra Leone from May 20, 2015 to Aug. 18, 2015. USCIS announced that it will accept applications from nationals of these three countries, even if the application was previously returned as being filed after the initial deadline of May 20, 2015.
Individuals from Liberia, Guinea, and Sierra Leone will qualify for TPS if they can demonstrate that they have been continuously present in the United States and that they have continuously resided in the United States since November 20, 2014. Individuals who apply for TPS must complete a security check to verify that they have no serious criminal offenses.
If you are from Liberia, Guinea or Sierra Leone and would like to discuss your eligibility to qualify for TPS, please contact Bagia & Associates at (215) 922-5354 for a consultation.
