Deferred Action for Parental Accountability (DAPA)

On November 20, 2014 President Obama announced a series of executive actions that he wants to take with regard to immigration.  One of these actions is deferred action for parents.  There is NO application that you can file at this time.  USCIS will not be ready to implement this initiative for at least six months.  We will provide updates as they become available.  In order to qualify for this program you must meet the following criteria:

You must be an undocumented individual who is living in the United States and has a U.S. citizen child or lawful permanent resident child and:

  • You have lived continuously in the United States since January 1, 2010;
  • Your USC or LPR children were born before November 20, 2014;
  • You are not an enforcement priority for removal (certain criminal convictions will make you ineligible).

As more guidance is released we will update our website.  If you have questions or wish to be kept informed on this issue please contact: or  or
