Marianna Tarantur was admitted to the Pennsylvania Bar in October 2011 and the New Jersey Bar in November 2011. She immigrated to the United States from Ukraine in 1988 and is fluent in Russian. After her first year of law school, Mrs. Tarantur joined Bagia & Associates, PC as a law clerk and worked at the firm part-time throughout both her second and third years of law school. She has also interned at a private criminal defense firm in Philadelphia, as well as The Public Defender Association of Philadelphia, where she combined her knowledge of immigration law with criminal law. As a student at Villanova University School of Law, Mrs. Tarantur was a member of the Villanova University Clinic for Asylum, Refugee and Emigrant Services where she successfully won asylum on behalf of her client. Mrs. Tarantur was also a member of the Villanova University Trial Team and received the David E. Worby Scholarship for excellence in trial advocacy. She was also awarded the Dorothy Day Award for Pro Bono Service.
Mrs. Tarantur's interest in immigration law stems from her own experience as an immigrant to the United States. She strives to educate and empower her clients to become active participants in the development of their immigration case and to ease their anxiety through open lines of communication.
